“Your work is community development
in its most important form ... the people.
You have helped us realize the great value
of what we have and we as a community
can become. You have touched our souls.”
Hon. John Jenkins, former state senator - Androscoggin County; former mayor, Lewiston, ME; five-time world martial arts champion

“Your work is so important.
Never stop. I’ll always be there.”
Troy Kirschner, New York City

“Your ability to open your
hearts to the people around
you is amazing.”
Jill Lamontague, Auburn, ME

In collaboration with the presenter, we identify participating organizations and target populations. Recent partners have included radio stations, public schools, hospitals, local newspapers, colleges of art and design, synagogues and ESL programs. Past community participants range from at-risk teenagers, “women warriors” (women over 65), martial artists, Somalian refugees, to local musicians, rap artists, photographers, and politicians.

In a 2-8 week residency, the company teaches workshops, gives informal performances, rehearses nightly with an auditioned community cast, and creates new video portraits shot on locations around the area which will then be incorporated into the final performance event.

These performances can take place in a theater or in a site of special significance to the community such as an abandoned mill, the old city hall, a defunct casino, a park, or a garden.
